Bortles comes to Denver, but where’s the right tackle?

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

John Elway keeps riding the quarterback carousel, but ignores the most glaring hole this team has...when will he see reason?

With the big signing of Blake Bortles yesterday, I keep wondering about what the Broncos are going to do at right tackle?

We’ve seen Bortles play quite a bit of really bad football behind lines that crumbled. He’s been pretty darn bad at doing that.

So what in the world made anyone think plugging him in behind this line would do anything to help either the Broncos or Bortles?

I honestly think he’s just the best emergency backup option out there. He’s got lots of experience in the NFL and should something happen to Jeff Driskel, he’s a guy that can go in and at least run an NFL offense. I wouldn’t expect anything special, but I would expect him to be able to manage a game or three.

Does anyone else out there feel like our fan base is stuck inside some weird Groundhog Day loop?
