We head into Week 2 of the 2020 NFL Regular Season. Here’s this weeks betting preview.

Highest Over: Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys OVER 52.5

Lowest Under: Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins UNDER 40.5

Week 2 Picks

Arizona Cardinals v San Francisco 49ers Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images

San Francisco 49ers (-7) at New York Jets

The Pick - 49ers (-7)

Bet the house on the 49ers this week. After a disappointing loss to Arizona in Week 1, San Francisco faces an easy bounce-back opponent in the New York Jets. The Jets have no weapons for Sam Darnold and struggle to protect him. They could easily put up less than 14 points against the stout 49ers’ defense.

Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers (-6) - LOCK OF THE WEEK

The Pick - Packers -245 (Moneyline)

In Week 1, the Lions’ defense let Mitchell Trubisky throw for 242 yards and three touchdowns. This week, they face the always dangerous Aaron Rodgers, who looked much more like his old self in Green Bay’s opening win against Minnesota. Rodgers should shred the Lions defense, giving Green Bay an easy win

Buffalo Bills (-5.5) at Miami Dolphins

The Pick - Buffalo (-5.5)

The Dolphins are going to struggle to score points all season long. The face another stout defense this week in the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo should be able to get pressure on Ryan Fitzpatrick all day, forcing him into some turnovers to create a lopsided victory.

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-9.5)

The Pick - OVER 47.5

In losses, the Panthers and Buccaneers were both able to put up points in Week 1. As Tom Brady gets another week under his belt in the new system, the Buccaneers offense should look more polished than it did in New Orleans. Both teams gave up a combined 68 points in Week 1. Look for this trend to continue this Sunday.

Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers (-7.5)

The Pick - Denver (+7.5)

This is a very high spread for a Steelers team that did not blow us away with their performance in Week 1. This week, they’ll face a much better team then the lowly New York Giants. Both Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Lock should both be able to have success through the air. The Steelers pull it out in the end, but Denver keeps it close enough to cover the spread.

Minnesota Vikings at Indianapolis Colts (-3)

The Pick - Vikings +148 (Moneyline)

The Minnesota and Indy defense both got shredded in Week 1. Only difference is one got torched by Aaron Rodgers, the other by Gardner Minshew. Kirk Cousins and company should have no problem moving the ball against the Colts defense. Philip Rivers showed more of the same from last season in his 2020 debut, giving me the confidence to pick the Vikings to pull off the upset.

Los Angeles Rams (-1) at Philadelphia Eagles

The Pick - Eagles +100 (Moneyline)

When a good team gets embarrassed one week, there’s a real good chance they are going to come out and play hard the next. Philadelphia got more than embarrassed in their opener against Washington, and has to follow it up with a tough matchup against Los Angeles. Despite the loss in the opener, the Eagles are still a good team. They’ll likely get Miles Sanders back on offense, and the Rams defensive line does not have as many quality pass-rushers at Washington’s did. Philly bounces back in a big way in their home opener with an upset win.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans (-9)

The Pick - Jaguars (+9)

I’m betting on Gardner Minshew here. Many expected the Jaguars offense to be an absolute mess this season, but they actually looked pretty good in Week 1. They’ll face a better defense in Tennessee this week, but I don’t think the Titans have the firepower on offense to blow them out. Jacksonville loses the game, but keeps it close enough to cover the spread.

New York Giants at Chicago Bears (-5.5)

The Pick - Bears (-5.5)

The New York Giants may have been the most disappointing team in football in Week 1. Joe Judge’s group looked like the same Giants we have seen for the past three seasons. Their offensive line has major holes that took away from a pretty good performance from Daniel Jones. The poor line and mistake-prone quarterback set up perfectly for Chicago with a defense that is good at taking the football away. Tribusky and company move to 2-0 with an eight-to-ten point victory.

Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys (-4.5)

The Pick - Falcons (+4.5)

The Falcons are going to be a big problem for the Dallas defense. The Cowboys young secondary is going to have a hard time slowing down Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and the Falcons offense. Fortunately for Dallas, the Falcons defense will have just as hard of a time containing Dallas. Dak Prescott will have a huge day leading Dallas to a win, but Atlanta will stick around and cover the spread, losing by two on a last-second field goal.

Washington Football Team at Arizona Cardinals (-6.5)

The Pick - Arizona (-6.5)

Washington and Arizona were too of the most impressive teams in Week 1. Both pulled off big-time upsets and looked much better than they did last season. This week, Washington is the one to come back to earth. Kyler Murray will be able to manage the constant pressure better than Carson Wentz did last week, forcing Washington to score more points on offense. Their offense still has a ways to go and just won’t be able to keep up with the fast-paced Cardinals.

Kansas City Chiefs (-8.5) at Los Angeles Chargers

The Pick - Chiefs (-8.5)

The Chiefs picked up right where they left off in the opener last Thursday, defeating a pretty good Houston Texans team by 14. With Tyrod Taylor leading the offense, Los Angeles will struggle to keep up with the points Kansas City can put on the board.

Baltimore Ravens (-7) at Houston Texans

The Pick - Baltimore (-7)

There was no team more impressive than the Ravens in Week 1. It’s hard to find a single weakness on their team, and Lamar Jackson somehow managed to look better to start 2020 than he did in 2019. Jackson and the Ravens are going to steamroll through the regular season, and Houston is just the next team to get in the way of the train.

New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks (-4)

The Pick - New England +165 (Moneyline)

Call me a fool, but I believe in Cam Newtown. Every week Newton plays with the Patriots, they’ll find even more creative ways to get him to succeed. Seattle was extremely impressive in their opener on offense, opening up the playbook and letting Russell Wilson dominate. Bill Belichick and the Patriots defense will be more of a challenge for Wilson and the Seahawks than Atlanta was. New England goes into Seattle and pulls off the stunner of the week, winning by two.

New Orleans Saints (-6) at Las Vegas Raiders

The Pick: Raiders (+6)

New Orleans looked dominant in their opener last Sunday. Drew Brees and company continually marched up and down the field putting up points at will. Unfortunately for the Saints, they’ll likely be without star wide receiver, Michael Thomas, on Monday night. The absence of the All-Pro will allow Las Vegas to stick in the game with the New Orleans offense. The Saints improve to 2-0, but Gruden’s Raiders cover the spread.
