Alex Smith answers questions before practice
Alex Smith spoke to the media before today's Redskins practice. He opened by mentioning the passing of Redskins beat reporter Rich Tandler yesterday. He discussed last week's win, the Cowboys, and what he, and the Redskins, need to improve on going forward.

Alex Smith is at the podium and started by offering condolences and prayers to Rich’s family.
Cowboys defense:
Smith says the #Cowboys defense doesn’t reinvent the wheel or anything too exotic, but they do the things they do very, very well.

He adds that the Indy tape is helpful, but they got a ton of Cover 2 and Dallas hasn’t been playing that way.
