The Lions will participate in Brocktober.
Earlier in the week, Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia told reporters that they’re currently preparing to face either of the Dolphins’ quarterbacks, Ryan Tannehill or Brock Osweiler.
“We’re going to have to address both guys as we go through the course of the week,” Patricia said on Monday.
Well, it turns out the Lions won’t have to do that for the rest of the week. Dolphins head coach Adam Gase told reporters on Wednesday that Ryan Tannehill will remain out this week and the month of Brocktober will continue.
Ryan Tannehill is OUT Sunday

Last week, Brock Osweiler lit up the Bears’ secondary in a 31-28 overtime victory. Osweiler completed 28 of 44 passes for 380 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. However, his overall stats are far more underwhelming. Over his six-year career, Osweiler is completing just 59.5 percent of his passes for 6.4 yards per attempt and a passer rating of 77.7.
According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins are currently under investigation over the way they treated their injury reports last week. Tannehill was a surprise last-minute scratch on Sunday, after he was listed as a full participant of practice on Thursday, even though Gase said Osweiler took some first-team reps that day.
With Osweiler set to go on Sunday, it looks like the Lions won’t need to prepare for both quarterbacks anymore... unless Gase is fudging the injury report again.
