The Kist & Solak Show #28!
The Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles enter their Week 7 match-up with the Carolina Panthers after what we’re all hoping was a turning point win against the New York Giants. Part of keeping that positive momentum going is continuing to put up points and capitalizing on Carson Wentz’s high level play.
How do they do that? Find out on The Kist & Solak Show episode 28! After some house cleaning (roster moves, Ben’s punctuality or lack thereof), we get into all the details of the Eagles offense and their quest for points against the Panthers defense.
First topic is how the Eagles can get their ground game going, elaborating on the ideas I wrote about here and here. Then we get into what match-ups we can exploit and how against a defense that played the most amount of zone coverage in the league last year. We also show love for Luke Kuechly’s football intelligence, Kawann Short’s manliness, and Donte Jackson’s impressive rookie campaign.
Finally we get into a new alignment teams are using to help running backs in pass pro against the double mug looks that have given the Eagles trouble this year. Hint, it looks like this (without the unrelated murder):
