For Week 8, the Ravens head to Carolina to take on the Panthers. Looking to put their loss to the Saints in the rear view, Baltimore’s number one ranked defense faces off against the Panther’s 18th ranked offense. Joe Flacco and the offense, headlined by the emergence of John Brown, are ninth in the league and fell just one point short of forcing overtime against New Orleans last week.
The Panthers are undefeated at home, and Cam Newton has thrown for 1,427 yards, 11 touchdowns and four interceptions through six games. While Christian McCaffrey has just one receiving touchdown, he has rushed for 378 yards and caught 40 of his 46 targets thus far in his sophomore season.
Carolina has been fairly inconsistent this season, but is still averaging 23.7 points per game. The defense is allowing 21.8 points, making it likely the Ravens will be in a tight battle on Sunday.
The Baltimore Beatdown staff will be providing predictions, analysis and recaps of the contest.
