Bills release Terrelle Pryor

The vet had two weeks to make something happen and failed to show any flashes

After the blowout win at the New York Jets, the Bills have some sort of identity at the receiver position: youth. With the production last week from the young guys like Zay Jones, Robert Foster and Isaiah McKenzie, Terrelle Pryor drew the short stick this go-round and was cut by the team this afternoon.

Pryor started out his Bills stint with a chip on his shoulder, boasting how he could ball and how they were going to make Nathan Peterman look good. He was targeted just a few times and had two catches for 17 yards in the game against the Chicago Bears and none against the Jets. Over those two games, Pryor didn’t look interested in being there in the first place. A misplayed ball led to an interception in that Bears game.

Credit McDermott and Beane for giving him a shot and seeing if he could return to his old self, when he played for the Cleveland Browns and nabbed 1,000 receiving yards. Now the Bills head into the bye week with an idea of the direction they want to go from this point on.
