Dez Bryant might not play against Eagles in Week 11 after all

Bad news for New Orleans.

Dez Bryant’s career with the New Orleans Saints might be over before it ever really started.

Bryant got hurt on the final rep of Saints practice on Friday and the injury is “what the team fears may be a torn Achilles,” according to a report from NFL insiders Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport.

Bryant JUST signed with the Saints on Wednesday. This was only his second practice with New Orleans.

Bryant was expected to sit out this week and make his debut against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. It looks like that will no longer be the case as the 30-year-old Bryant might be out for the rest of the 2018 season.

Though this news is obviously unfortunate, something tells me the Saints will still be OK without Bryant. New Orleans is averaging 34.0 offensive points per game this season, which ranks second in the league.

If anything, it’s a bummer that this injury could rob of us seeing Bryant’s revenge game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 13.
