Two Bens list their NFL Draft prospects to watch in Week 11
Dre’Mont Jones, DT 86, Ohio State v. MSU (12 PM on Fox)
An early marquee match up, the Ohio State defense will have its hands full with a resurgent MSU offense. Dre’Mont Jones is the new leader up front with Nick Bosa sitting out and he will be tasked with stopping MSU’s run game and disrupting one of the better passing games in the Big 10. - Natan
David Edwards, OT 79, Wisconsin v. Penn State (12 PM on ABC)
Penn State has an eligible EDGE in Shareef Miller who can play decently well, but the real stud is opposite him: true sophomore Yetur Gross-Matos. David Edwards will have to deal with both, and as an uber-athletic QB convert, he’ll get some Lane Johnson comparisons. He isn’t that level of prospects, but he’s still a college stud who will go Round 1. - Solak
Reggie Corbin, RB 2, Illinois v. Nebraska (12 PM on B1G Network)
Uh, yeah: I’m telling you to watch a player from Lovie Smith’s Fighting Illini. If you’re somehow stuck watching this battle of Big Ten cellar-dwellers, then keep your eyes on the scatback in the Illini backfield, Reggie Corbin. He’s been one of college football’s most efficient runners with joystick like ability in the in the open field. - Solak
Jonah Williams, OT 73, Alabama v. Mississippi State (3:30 PM on CBS)
Mississippi State has one of the most talented defensive lines in college football and Jonah Williams is probably the best offensive lineman in the country. The junior prospect will have his biggest showcase of the season and shutting down the Bulldogs front would be a huge notch on the belt. - Natan
Montez Sweat, EDGE 9, Mississippi State v. Alabama (3:30 PM on CBS)
Williams has one of his tallest tasks of the season in Montez Sweat, who I anticipate will also leave the board in Round 1 come April. Sweat has been on an unbelievable productive tear in 2018, and can beat you in a multitude of ways: he’s super long, which threatens the weakness in Williams’ game according to some NFL scouts. This is a battle of titans. - Solak
Noah Fant, TE 87, Iowa v. Northwestern (3:30 PM on Fox)
Noah Fant is separating himself as college football’s best tight end prospect. The athletic mismatch has a big task against Northwestern and their stingy defense. Fant is the featured target for the Hawkeyes and should have another big game in store. - Natan
Zack Moss, RB 2, Utah v. Oregon (5:30 PM on Pac12 Network)
Utah’s bellcow has been under the radar all season, but the junior bruiser has eclipsed 1,000 yards heading into the Utes’ game against Oregon. Oregon’s defense is much improved this year, but still vulnerable to a strong running game. Can Moss take advantage? - Natan
DeAndre Baker, CB 18, Georgia v. Auburn (7 PM on ESPN)
Arguably the best defensive back in college football this year, Deandre Baker had improved massively in his senior season. Auburn features one of the SEC’s best passing games and Baker will be targeted more often than he’s used to in a run heavy conference. What he does with those opportunities could define his draft profile. - Natan
Riley Ridley, WR 8, Georgia v. Auburn (7 PM on ESPN)
On the other side of the ball, Ridley is an top-flight prospect for the Bulldogs, though he doesn’t get the attention you’d like to see. I’m gonna keep writing about him for as long as nobody in the national conversation talks about him — he has another big day against the Auburn defense, which I think will force Georgia away from the run and to the pass. - Solak
Antoine Wesley, WR 4, Texas Tech v. Texas (7:30 PM on Fox)
I’ve been told three billion times at this point to watch Wesley, who has been dominating down the field for the Red Raiders thus far this season. He and his running mate, TJ Vasher, both excel as downfield threats through contact with body control and catch radius success. Texas corners Kris Boyd and Devante Davis have some good talent, so those will be fun man-on-man matchups to watch. - Solak
