Yes, you have to vote.
The Falcons sit at 4-6 and are likely out of the playoff race at this point, barring a complete miracle to finish the season. They only put up 19 points at home against the Cowboys, but there were some positives on the day on offense if you squint hard enough. Here are the only candidates I could think of for the offensive player of the game.
Julio Jones
Julio was a freak of nature yet again, hauling in 6 catches for 118 yards and a touchdown. However, his destruction of Jeff Heath probably saved a potential interception while also showing that Julio is not just an offensive weapon, but is also a defensive one too.
Matt Ryan
Despite being under pressure continually, Ryan was able to dodge the pass rush repeatedly en route to a “pedestrian” 24/34 for 291 yards and 1 TD. It was not his best game by any means, but his ability to buy time in the pocket is underrated and the INT in this game was clearly not his fault. Without him, the Falcons would be in far worse shape than they are.
Tevin Coleman
The Cowboys defense had been fantastic against the run, but with 8 carries for 58 yards, Coleman showed he should get great offers if he hits free agency in 2019. Tack on 3 receptions for 27 more yards and you’ve got a good afternoon overall for the “backup” to Devonta Freeman.
Mohamed Sanu
While his 4 receptions for 56 yards doesn’t look that impressive on paper, Sanu had several critical catches on the day that extended offensive drives for the Falcons.
Who is your pick?
