San Francisco 49ers links for Saturday June 29, 2019
The countdown is on, and we are now officially 4 weeks away from the start of training camp. With that in mind I thought that this would be a perfect opportunity to throw around some bold predictions for the upcoming 2019-20 NFL season.
So, what is a bold prediction really? Glad you asked. For one, a bold prediction must be a real possibility, even if it seems highly unlikely to most. For example, saying that Jimmy G will throw for 5,000 yards is a bold prediction, but saying that he’ll throw for 10,000 yards is, well, an impossible prediction.
The second, and most important aspect of the bold prediction, is that you must believe it. No hot takes or outlandish predictions just for the sake of making them. Choose something that you would actually be willing to put a few dollars on in Vegas as a prop bet. And while we won’t be awarding any money for winners here at Niners Nation, bragging rights are always worth their weight in gold come season’s end.
So with that said, let’s all make one 49ers bold prediction and then one bold prediction for the rest of the NFL. Without further ado, here are mine:
49ers Bold Prediction:
The 49ers will win both Offensive Rookie of the Year (Deebo Samuel) and Defensive Rookie of the year (Nick Bosa)
NFL Bold Prediction:
Nick Foles will lead the Jacksonville Jaguars to at least 12 regular season wins and a Super Bowl berth.
Now it’s your turn Niners Nation. Leave one 49ers and one NFL (non 49ers) bold prediction in the comments below and we’ll check back at the end of the season to see who was right. Good luck!
