Record watch: Week 10

Which Tampa Bay players are working their way toward franchise records as the team hosts Washington on Sunday?

The Buccaneers host the NFC East-leading Washington Redskins on Sunday, looking to break their current two-game losing streak. When they kick off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, there will be a number of players looking to make their way up the charts of franchise history.

Career Receptions

Mike Evans has 356 catches in his career, which leaves him 75 away from passing James Wilder (430) for the franchise record.

Career Passing Yards

Jameis Winston is stuck on the bench and stuck at 12,817 passing yards for his career. He needs 153 more to pass Trent Dilfer (12,969) for third-most in Bucs history.

Career Passing Touchdowns

Winston is three touchdown passes away from passing Vinny Testaverde (77) for second in team history.

Career Completions

Winston is fifth all-time in completions with 1,035, needing six to pass Brad Johnson (1,040) for fourth.

Career Passing Attempts

With 1,692 passing attempts, Winston is fifth in franchise history. He needs 199 to pass Doug Williams (1,890) for fourth.

Career Rushing Touchdowns

Winston is 14th all-time with nine rushing touchdowns. Two more would allow him to pass Michael Pittman (10) for 13th.

Peyton Barber is tied for 20th with five touchdowns. He needs two to take sole possession of 16th.

Jacquizz Rodgers has three touchdowns with Tampa Bay, which leaves him two away from tying for 20th.

Career Tackles

Lavonte David is fourth in team history with 596 tackles. He needs 85 more to pull into third, passing Hardy Nickerson (680).

Career Sacks

Gerald McCoy picked up half a sack last week, getting his career total to 50 1/2. He is 19 12 away from passing Simeon Rice (69 1/2) for second in franchise history.

Career Safeties

Lavonte David is tied for first all-time in safeties with one. He needs another to own the franchise record.

Career Interceptions

David is tied for 17th with 10 interceptions. One more would tie him for 15th.

Career Passes Defended

Brent Grimes now has 38 passes defended with the Bucs, putting him in sole possession of seventh. He needs five more to pass John Lynch (42) for sixth.

Because Grimes is alone in seventh, David is now tied for eighth with Simeon Rice (37).

Career Fumble Recoveries

With 12 fumble recoveries, David is tied with Ronde Barber for the franchise record. He needs one more to sit alone at the top.

Career Forced Fumbles

David is third in forced fumbles with 18. He needs two more to pass Simeon Rice (19) for second.

Career Games Played

Sunday will be Gerald McCoy’s 116th game with the Bucs, which gives him sole possession of 18th.

Demar Dotson takes sole possession of 27th if he plays on Sunday, as it would be his 110th game with Tampa Bay.

Sunday is Lavonte David’s 100th career game. By playing, he ties Cedric Brown, Mike Washington, Gerald Carter, Ron Hall, Davin Joseph and Pete Pierson for 35th in franchise history.

Single-Season Receiving Yards

Halfway through the regular season, Mike Evans has 786 receiving yards. The single-season franchise record is held by Mark Carrier, who put up 1,422 yards in 1989. Right now, Evans is on pace to break that record.

Single-Season Receiving Touchdowns

The single-season franchise record for touchdown catches is 12, which Mike Evans had twice (2014 and 2016). No one is currently on pace to break that record, but O.J. Howard has five this season. Evans and DeSean Jackson both have four.

Single-Season Passing Touchdowns

Ryan Fitzpatrick has 17 touchdown passes this season. He is on pace to break the single-season record of 28, which is held by Jameis Winston (2016).

Single-Season Sacks

Warren Sapp has the single-season franchise record for sacks with 16 1/2, which he had in 2000. Jason Pierre-Paul is at eight through the first half of this season.

Single-Season Total Yards (Team)

The most yards the Bucs have ever put up as a team is 6,014 (2015). Right now, they’re at 3,574 through eight games of this season, which has them on pace to shatter the record.

Single-Season Passing Yards (Team)

The most passing yards Tampa Bay has ever had as a team is 4,366 (2017). Through eight games of the 2018 season, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jameis Winston have combined for 2,853. A repeat of the first half would give the team a new record.
