Broncos at 49ers Week 14: Everything we know

The Denver Broncos will be seeking their fourth consecutive win as they hit the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers.

After winning their last three games, the Denver Broncos (6-6) are right back in the thick of an AFC playoff hunt as they travel to take on the San Francisco 49ers (2-10) who were eliminated from playoff contention officially last week.

With four games still left to play, there won’t be any scoreboard watching by Denver this week. They have to win every game and their focus will be fully on taking care of business against the 49ers this week.

“No, I don’t think so,” Head Coach Vance Joseph said of ‘scoreboard watching’. “Right now, we’re 6-6 only. We’re trying to get to be 7-6 this week. Without winning, those things won’t matter much. We have to focus on the Broncos, take it day by day and hopefully play our best football on Sunday to win. We can’t chase the highlights and ‘who’s winning, who’s not winning.’ That can’t be our focus.”

That is the right mindset for this team to have heading into the final quarter of the season. A lot must go right for them to have a shot at a playoff berth, but winning each game in front of them is the only way the dream stays alive.

The game will be called by Andrew Catalon (play-by-player) and James Lofton (analyst) on CBS. Kickoff is set for Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 2:05 p.m. Mile High time at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
