Broncos at Raiders odds: Denver slight 2.5-point road favorites in Week 16

The Denver Broncos are 2.5-point road favorites over the Oakland Raiders in Week 16. How is that even possible?

Somehow, the Denver Broncos are slight 2.5 point favorites over the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football in Week 16. After two ugly losses to sub-.500 teams, there is no reason for Denver to be favored on the road against anybody.

In the Raiders final game in Oakland, you can expect them to come out with plenty of energy and intensity in this game. Despite being 3-11, the Raiders have one two of their last five games and have played teams close for the most part. With the Broncos struggling, it is going to be tough divisional road contest for them.

A win would help Denver avoid their first back-to-back losing season since 1971 for at least one more week, but at 6-8 it doesn’t look promising on that end. Vance Joseph has been defending his job performance after two ugly losses, with the last seeing him get hammered for a fourth down call that ultimately led to a one-point home loss to the Cleveland Browns.

A win in this game would go a long way to helping his case for a third year as head coach of the Denver Broncos, even though it might already be too late.

Kickoff is set for Monday, December 24, 2018 at 6:15 p.m. Mile High time at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland, California. The game will be called by Joe Tessitore (play-by-play), Jason Witten (analyst), Booger McFarland (sideline analyst), and Lisa Salters (sideline reporting).
