Can The Texans Play A Complete Game Against The Jets?

Injuries may keep it from happening.

When you see a team with a lot of fire, talent, and promise struggle to bring it all together, it builds anticipation. Watching games where one aspect of a team falters but other areas save the day brings the thought of “What would this team be capable of if they could just play a complete game?”.

A lot of Texans fans are asking that question right now.

After the historic nine-game win streak ended, many wonder what is coming next.

Longtime starting cornerback Johnathan Joseph believes the Texans are due for complete game.

“Just four quarters of complete football. We don’t have to do anything special, just go out and play our game and that’ll be enough.”

Hard to argue that a Texans team with offense, defense and special teams firing on all cylinders would be hard to match for nearly any team in the NFL. That would require all the players who can’t contribute due to injury to be able to do so.

Wideouts Keke Coutee and DeAndre Carter are both currently listed as “Limited Participation” with hamstring and concussion injuries, respectively.

Offensive lineman Zach Fulton is still dealing with a hand injury that kept him out last week.

The rest of the current injury report has J.J. Watt, DeAndre Hopkins, Andre Hal, Senio Kelemete and Joseph himself listed in the “Limited Participation” category.

More Joseph:

“Sometimes you start hot. We can’t have those peaks and valleys where we start and then we kind of have a little lull for a minute and then we catch back up. At this point in the year, this time of the year, we got to be four, full quarters.”

If they can do that and keep the injury bug at bay, the New York Jets are in for it this Saturday.

What do you think? Have the Texans peaked already or is that elusive “complete game” still on the horizon? Can Houston pull it all together and go on a run of complete games? If so, where does it end?
