On the arrival of Sam Darnold:
He’s finally arrived
Our QB is finally here… those third down throws, the QBs scrambles, the poise.. he’s here… our franchise qb!! “Give this man a blade to fend off our enemies and give him a shield to protect our domain, a true Trojan soldier”

On all the possibilities at the top of next year’s draft:
If things stay as they are it could get very weird.
With Gruden sitting at #2 he very well might want to move away from Carr and be thinking about trading him and taking a QB in that spot. Which means that teams who have convinced themselves that whoever ends up being the top rated QB coming out is a can’t miss franchise QB will be falling all over themselves to trade with Arizona and leapfrog Chucky. The Jets could end up with the opportunity to take the #2 ranked player in the draft, maybe even Bosa, if both picks ahead of them are QBs. If the Raiders win one more game and fall behind us, we could be sitting in the cat bird’s seat if there is a top rated QB available at #2.

On why a win against the Pats could be a good thing:
Idk...
I wouldn’t mind going down in the draft if it meant hurting the Pats’ chance at a bye
-MachlinT
On why we should draft Quinnen Williams:
Only until he hits the field
Him + Leo (+ Anderson as a rotational guy) on the interior and 2 good FA edge guys (+ Jenkins & Luvu/Copeland) on the outside is a scary pass rush. Could go into the occasional 5 man line with Quinnen over the nose and Jamal lurking and really stress an oline too. He’s an all pro type player and a plus pass rusher at a position that doesn’t have many. Me likey

On the case for keeping Macc:
I’m ok with another macc year
I think his first round picks have been good. He traded up for darnold. Found shell and I think Herndon could be the cherry on top if he keeps developing with darnold. Maye looks great when healthy, which is never. Also got a third round pick for nothing by picking up Bridgewater. I don’t blame him for the revis contract. The jets messed up when they didn’t sign revis before when he went to the pats. That’s on the gem of a gm before him. I wanted the best jet of my lifetime back and didn’t see to much flack when we were winning games in 2015. In the end that team didn’t work out but it happens. When you don’t have a qb lasting success is nearly impossible. His drafting has been lackluster but I see improvement year in and year out. I think Bowles is a steaming pile who can’t coach to save his life and by replacing him along with what I think the jets are gonna do In free agency (bell, oline, edge rush) and draft (edge rush, oline, wr hopefully trade down) we can be vastly improved next year. I truly believe with outside pass rush help this defense is good enough

On what to be proud of this year:
Positives from 2018 Season
As a change up from debating how bad Mac is, Tru’s awful contract, Bowles head scratching gameplans, Bates Pop Warner offense, Spencer Long can’t snap a football and all the other joys we get to experience as Jet fans, I thought I’d try and list the positive I can take away from this year. Adams: He’s played very well this year, really established himself as a top SS in the league. Don’t have to like his approach towards leadership and social media or his position impact and draft position. No matter what, he’s proving to be a very good player at his position, one hole they don’t need to fill.Beachum: Feel like he doesn’t get that much love in Jetland but he’s played a pretty decent season for being an undersized and underappreciated LT. I think he can give them another year of quality play and either allow a rookie to learn or buy them another year until they need to sign a replacement. Darnold: I was very nervous with this pick, and still am, but the last few weeks he’s given that little glimmer of hope Jet fans have been craving for 20 years. A long way to go but its something to build off of.Williamson: I think he’s played a very solid year, kind of is exactly the player he was when he signed. Had his issues in coverage but is very good against the run and a quality signal caller that will be in that defense for years to come. I know Davis is playing well in NO but I’m happy with him and he’s much younger. H. Anderson: Its nice to see a guy wearing 96 and busting his butt isn’t it? He has limitations, isn’t going to ever be a star but he is a solid piece that good teams need. He’s stayed healthy and been a nice surprise, hopefully he can be retained and stick around.Herndon: He has a long way to go but he’s played pretty well for a rookie. Has decent athletic ability, isn’t a complete waste as a blocker, willing to stick his nose in there. He had a few game stretch where he was really contributing but has faded into the stretch, hopefully he can be a solution at TE. I really wish I could think of more but that’s what I got. The amount of work needed to make this roster competitive is daunting, hopefully there is a competent GM in place to take on the job, but maybe Jets will pull a Bears and go worst to first……. Ok lets just hope they field a team that resembles an NFL team.

On the greatness of Jamal Adams:
Jamal Adams
I mean we all think he’s a great player and it seems so do many other players and coaches in the NFL. I wonder if he’ll make the top 100 players in this year? Don’t see how he could not and it would be the first time since Revis, Marshall, and Mo (players we all love) in 2016.

On which QB had the better game:
I think Sam really outplayed Watson
The only success Watson had was throwing it a top-3 receiver in the league. Sam literally willed the team to every yard.

On what to look forward to if we draft pass rusher Josh Allen:
I’m looking forward to Josh Allen being a thorn in the side of Josh Allen next year.
