An update from Jerry.
It’s Tuesday which means Dallas Cowboys owner, president, and general manager Jerry Jones appeared on 105.3 The Fan to talk all things America’s Team, and he gave us some important information. Really important.
The Cowboys are hosting the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday in a game that will go a long way towards deciding this season’s NFC East winner. Dallas has won four straight and they’ve done so without the services of Sean Lee (all of it) and Tyron Smith (half of it).
Many people have speculated what the return of Lee specifically will mean. The General has been the best linebacker on the team for the better part of this decade, but the Cowboys have a very special talent brewing in rookie Leighton Vander Esch. Would Sean Lee really automatically jump right in and start over LVE? Jerry says yes.
Jones says Sean Lee will have his starting job back when he's ready. "Sean has had as much to do with how Vander Esch has evolved as his coaches have." @1053thefan

Jones also gave us information on Tyron Smith, although Stephen Jones did so as well on Monday. According to both of them all signs seem to point to Smith returning this week against Philly. That’s huge.
Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas he expects left tackle Tyron Smith (stinger) to return this week against Philadelphia after missing the last two games. He also said when Sean Lee is ready to play the veteran linebacker would reclaim his starting role and there...

The Cowboys have one of the most important games of the Jason Garrett era facing them this Sunday, but such has been true for each contest over the last month. They’ve found a way to persevere and shock the world. Hopefully, they continue to do so.
