Kendall Fuller to have surgery on wrist Friday morning, per report

Fuller is one of those players the Chiefs cannot afford to lose.

Here is the wrap Kendall Fuller was working with Thursday night.

Last night’s Kansas City Chiefs loss to the Los Angeles Chargers was not an easy one to swallow, but at least you could wake up knowing the Chiefs still controlled their own destiny in the AFC.

This news hurts.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting Kendall Fuller played through a wrist injury, which he believes to be a fracture, on Thursday night in the loss to the Chargers. Fuller’s also reportedly having surgery Friday morning.

Fuller did have his arm wrapped up in the locker room when he spoke to reporters Tuesday, so this makes sense.

I have often called Fuller the second-most important player on the Chiefs roster next to Patirck Mahomes given the lack of secondary depth on the Chiefs roster. Fuller is just one of those players, like a Travis Kelce, you really can’t afford to lose (especially with two must-win games down the stretch).

We’ll keep you posted as more news comes through as to how much time Fuller is expected to miss. He had two tackles and an interception, his second of the season, against the Chargers.
