As previously noted, the Eagles still have an outside chance at winning the NFC East.
Philadelphia’s more likely path to the playoffs is winning a wild card spot. With the Panthers losing to the Saints, here’s what needs to happen now:
- Eagles win out (versus Texans, at Washington)
- Vikings lose at least one of two games (at Lions, versus Bears)
The Eagles can also still make the playoffs if they lose to Houston. But that would require the Vikings losing out AND the Panthers losing at least one more game as well.
At the very least, the Eagles need the Vikings to lose one game. It remains to be seen if they’ll get that help. For now, all Philadelphia can worry about is beating the Texans at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday.
