Ranking all 32 NFL Teams.
Week 15 of the 2018 NFL regular season schedule is in the books. Now it’s time to see where all 32 teams rank heading into Week 16. For reference purposes, here is a link to last week’s NFL Power Rankings.
BLG’S WEEK 16 NFL POWER RANKINGS
- New Orleans Saints (Last Week: 2) - Well, it wasn’t pretty, but the Saints escaped Carolina with a win and now own the league’s best overall record at 12-2.
- Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 4) - Love the Chargers’ decision to go for the 2-point conversion late in the fourth quarter. You PLAY to WIN the GAME! The Bolts still have a chance at finishing with the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
- Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 1) - Andy Reid’s Chiefs are 2-2 in their last four games. They’re still good but they haven’t looked quite as dominant.
- Chicago Bears (LW: 6) - The Bears are NFC North champions in Matt Nagy’s first year on the job.
- Los Angeles Rams (LW: 3) - Two losses in a row. Jared Goff isn’t looking so great and Sean McVay isn’t looking like a total genius.
- Houston Texans (LW: 8) - Only three of the Texans’ wins have come by more than one possession. The quarterbacks for those games? Blake Bortles, Brock Osweiler, and a rookie Baker Mayfield.
- Indianapolis Colts (LW: 10) - The Fighting Frank Reichs pitched a shutout. Impressive. Still fighting for a spot in the AFC playoff picture.
- New England Patriots (LW: 7) - The Pats have lost two December games in a row for the first time since 2002. The Pats have been much more vulnerable on the road, which is bad news for them as they’ll likely have to play outside of Gillette Stadium in the playoffs.
- Baltimore Ravens (LW: 11) - The Ravens are currently the sixth seed in the AFC but they’ll have to continue to fight to keep their spot. A road game against the Bolts looms large.
- Seattle Seahawks (LW: 5) - Seattle was looking real tough ... and then they managed to lose to Nick Mullens.
- Tennessee Titans (LW: 12) - The unpredictable Titans have now won three games in a row. Second longest winning streak in the league behind LAC.
- Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 17) - After losing three in a row, the Steelers picked up a much-needed win over the Pats to maintain their AFC North lead.
- Minnesota Vikings (LW: 15) - The Vikings’ offense came to life in their first game after firing John DeFilippo. Minny is the favorite to win the No. 6 seed in the NFC ... if they can avoid choking down the stretch.
- Dallas Cowboys (LW: 9) - Surprise, Dak Prescott is a fraud. Dallas is now 1-4 against playoff caliber teams.
Elite QB Dak Prescott led the Cowboys to a whopping zero points against the 18th ranked pass defense.

- Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 18) - The Eagles were 13-point underdogs heading into Los Angeles. A complete team effort allowed the reigning Super Bowl champs to shock the world and keep their season alive. Philadelphia has a viable path to making the playoffs.
- Cleveland Browns (LW: 16) - The Browns are actually still alive in the playoff hunt! But they have a less than 1% chance of making it.
- Denver Broncos (LW: 14) - It looked like Denver was going to make a push for a wild card spot. Then they lost to San Fran on the road and Cleveland at home. Choke.
- Miami Dolphins (LW: 13) - Former Philadelphia legend Frank Gore is done for the season. Terrible news.
- Detroit Lions (LW: 19) - Matt Patricia’s first season in Detroit is guaranteed to finish with a losing record.
- Green Bay Packers (LW: 20) - Aaron Rodgers missed some crucial throws in a game the Pack needed to keep their season alive.
- Atlanta Falcons (LW: 24) - The Falcons proved they’re not as bad as some other bad teams by dropping a 40 burger on Arizona.
- New York Giants (LW: 21) - The G-Men followed up going 4-1 in their last five by getting shut out at home. Pat Shurmur’s group has officially been eliminated from making the playoffs.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 23) - The Bucs can do worse than one possession loss to a good Baltimore team. They can also do much better than Dirk Koetter at head coach.
- San Francisco 49ers (LW: 29) - The 49ers are ending another lost season by finishing strong. Wonder how much they’ll be able to get for trading Nick Mullens.
- Buffalo Bills (LW: 27) - Josh Allen is slowly but surely making some progress, I suppose.
- Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 31) - The Bengals ended their losing streak with a home win over one of the league’s worst teams.
- Carolina Panthers (LW: 22) - Played New Orleans tough but ultimately lost. It’s their sixth loss in a row. No other NFL team has lost more than two in a row. With games against Atlanta and New Orleans (again) up next, it’s not impossible the Panthers could finish the season on an eight game losing streak.
- New York Jets (LW: 26) - The Jets are bad but Sam Darnold provides hope for the future. He only turns 22 in June.
- Washington Redskins (LW: 32) - Josh Johnson made his NFL debut in 2009 but he didn’t pick up his first career win until Sunday. Remarkably, Washington is still alive in the playoff hunt.
- Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 25) - I mean, they lost to Washington’s fourth-string quarterback.
- Oakland Raiders (LW: 28) - Second worst point differential in the NFL at -158.
- Arizona Cardinals (LW: 30) - The Cardinals would pick No. 1 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft if the season ended today.
