Help could be on the way this week for the Raiders patchwork offensive line. They started newly signed players Denzelle Good and Chaz Green at the two guard spots last week in Cincinnati. Desperate times called for desperate measures with both Kelechi Osemele and Gabe Jackson out with injury.
Jackson headed to injured reserve this week, ending his season. But Osemele seems to be recovering well enough to give Jon Gruden hope he will return this week when the Raiders welcome the division rival Broncos.
“Feeling a little more optimistic though,” Gruden said of Osemele’s potential return. “He’s got a much better chance of playing this week. We could sure use him.”
It was rookie Kolton Miller at left tackle who had the roughest week for the Raiders, giving up a couple sacks and 8 pressures. Having Osemele back next to him could help him tremendously. He will need it going against Von Miller and Bradley Chubbs.
