With RB Todd Gurley out, the Rams look to stay ahead of the Chicago Bears as the NFC playoff picture continues to sharpen.
Well, it’s going to be interesting regardless of how we get from A to Z.
The Los Angeles Rams are in Phoenix to take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16. If they’re going to pull out the W, they’re going to have to do so without the services of RB Todd Gurley who has been sidelined with a knee injury.
The absence will mark Gurley’s first game missed due to injury since missing the first two games of the 2015 season coming back off of an ACL injury to that same knee.
With the Rams’ best offensive weapon out, the running back duties will go do reserve rookie RB John Kelly and new signing RB C.J. Anderson with reserve RB Justin Davis out and backup RB Malcolm Brown out for the season.
All of that obviously sets up a pressured performance from QB Jared Goff who has not played well for the last three weeks coming out of the bye. Without Gurley, all eyes will be on the Rams’ franchise quarterback to step up and deliver a much needed win on the road against an inferior opponent.
Two weeks to the playoffs...
