Rams win 31-9: McVay gets his team back on track

The Rams took advantage of a 3-11 Cardinals team to right the ship after back to back losses

Jared Goff wasn’t spectacular, but he got back on track after an early strip sack that can be easily attributed to a missed blocking assignment by new acquisition C.J. Anderson - though Anderson redeemed himself with a massive day on the ground.

Aaron Donald broke the sack record for defensive tackles and could feasibly push for Michael Strahan’s record next week. It’s probably a good thing he’s accustomed to double and triple teams at this point.... he could be one of a select few starters who get significant playing time next week

The rest of the defense finally stood up as well. Ndomukong Suh had some good plays and Cory Littleton had a nice deflection as well as some clutch tackles. In addition to holding David Johnson to 3.5 yards per carry, the Rams shored up the pass D and held Josh Rosen under 50% completion percentage.

The Rams finally dominated in a way you expect an 11-3 team to dominate a 3-11 team in week 16 and moved a step closer to earning a bye week.

Sure it was against inferior competition, but Sean McVay’s Rams did what they had to do in order to allow fans to breath a little easier over the holiday.
