Rams-Cardinals: Todd Gurley sidelined again on Thursday

If you were hoping for better news from the injury report, you’re gonna have to wait.

The Los Angeles Rams are headed to Phoenix to take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16, and for the second day in a row, Rams RB Todd Gurley was sidelined during practice:

Yesterday, Rams Head Coach Sean McVay had this to say:

He’s doing good. I think he’s making good progress. It’s early in the week, but I think he’s feeling good. He came in, was feeling better today so that’s good news.

...

That’s the expectation, that he’s going to play.

Today offered even less from McBae as he told reporters he had yet to confer with Sports Medicine and Performance Senior Director (read: Head Trainer) Reggie Scott.

Suffice to say that if you wanted to feel comfortable about the Rams’ biggest offensive threat’s health with just two games left in the season, you might just wanna get comfortable being uncomfortable, buddy.

As for the Cards:

No real news as of yesterday, but the “illness” addition of CB Patrick Peterson is interesting given that WR J.J. Nelson and TE Ricky Seals-Jones were both already out, per Cardinals Head Coach Steve Wilks, due to food poisoning.

Final injury report out tomorrow and perhaps some improvement on the injury front for Just Todd...
