The QB Scho Show #6!
Minutes before we began recording The QB Scho Show #6, the report dropped that Carson Wentz may not play again in 2018 due to a lingering back issue.
Of course, the takes that followed were measured and not at all of a revisionist nature. Just kidding, they’ve been bonkers. One take that Mark Schofield and I discuss on the show is the idea that Wentz was labeled as “injury prone” entering the NFL. Here’s that take:
Carson Wentz came into the NFL with the injury-prone label. This would be the third significant injury he's had in three years in the league. He just cannot stay healthy.

With information still coming in on this back issue for Wentz, it’s certainly something we’ll be tracking here at Bleeding Green Nation. In the meantime, we discussed the scenarios for if Wentz is out, including who should play the remainder of the season, Nick Foles or Nate Sudfeld? Of course, we’ll dive more into the Wentz situation on the upcoming Kist & Solak Show.
As for the rest of this show, we did our usual in-depth analysis of the upcoming enemy quarterback. With the Los Angeles Rams on the schedule, we looked at Jared Goff’s career starting from his time in college. Looking at his recent performance, he’s gone from five straight games with a QB Rating over 110.0 to two straight games where he has failed to play well. We discuss those showings and what head coach Sean McVay can do to make life easier on his signal caller.
