Roster Moves: Colts activate OL Joe Haeg, waive Denzelle Good

The Colts have brought back Swiss Army offensive lineman Joe Haeg, who was placed on IR earlier in the season and released tackle Denzelle Good to make room for him.

Haeg is one of the Colts most valuable linemen because he is capable of average to above average play at multiple positions across the Colts’ offensive line. The 6’6” 305lb Haeg has 32 starts since his selection in the 5th round of the 2016 draft, and his return further bolsters the Colts’ depth. If Ryan Kelly is able to return to action against the Texans, this will be the deepest and most talented Colts offensive line in many years.

Denzelle Good is a talented offensive tackle who simply has been unable to stay healthy. It has been difficult to gauge how capable he is because of his inability to consistently play, and his loss means that only one player from the 2015 draft, Clayton Geathers, remains on the current Colts roster.

Additionally, the Colts have brought back QB Phillip “Boomerang” Walker to the practice squad, and released DE Anthony Winbush from the practice squad. These two have swapped spots a couple times on the practice squad this season, and Walker has been on and off the practice squad himself all season.

The Colts have now used both their spots for players returning from IR, with Tyquan Lewis returning from IR earlier in the season.
