Edmunds, 20, is the youngest player in league history to pick off a pass
The future certainly is bright for Buffalo Bills rookie middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. During the Week 14 loss to the New York Jets, Edmunds made history with his third-quarter interception. At the tender age of 20—and as the youngest player in the league—Edmunds became the youngest player in the history of the NFL to record an interception when he picked off Sam Darnold’s pass at the Buffalo 12-yard line.
Drafted with the No. 16 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech, Edmunds has enjoyed a solid rookie season for the Bills (4-9).

Instead of the Jets potentially driving for the tying touchdown, Edmunds intercepted the underthrown pass. He finished with eight tackles (one for a loss) and one pass deflection.
Edmunds and his defensive mates did a great job limiting the Jets offense to only 68 total yards of offense and four first downs in the first half. The Jets were held under 200 yards of offense until the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter, allowing only 248 net yards of offense.
On the year, Edmunds has made 12 starts at linebacker, logging a team-best 90 total tackles (61 solo) with four tackles for a loss, ten pass deflections, two forced fumbles, one sack, and one historic interception.
