The Jets “pass rusher” had some choice words regarding the rookie
Shortly after the New York Jets’ victory over the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park, Jets starting outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins was quick to share what he thought of quarterback Josh Allen’s performance.
Talking to New York Daily News beat reporter Manish Mehta, Jenkins unloaded on the rookie.
“He can throw the ball far… maybe not accurate,” Jenkins told reporters immediately following the game. “I don’t really like that guy. That guy was talking trash out there. Personally, I couldn’t care less about that guy.”
What drew Jenkins’s wrath was probably less Josh Allen, and more an illegal cut-block by Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins early in the first quarter.
“We know the tight end’s cut block, that’s totally legal. But if you’re diving at somebody’s ankles when you’re engaged with somebody, that’s classless. That’s not real football. That’s some punk type stuff.”
This is of course coming from a guy who was ostensibly drafted to rush the passer, but has yet to finish a season with more than six sacks. The third-year player recorded two tackles and no sacks against the Bills.
