The NFL closes out Week 14 on Monday Night Football with a matchup featuring huge NFC playoff implications. The Seattle Seahawks host the Minnesota Vikings with kickoff set for 5:15 p.m. PT on ESPN. Joe Tessitore and Jason Witten will call the game from the booth, with Booger McFarland serving as an analyst from the field. Lisa Salters continues her duties as the sideline reporter.

The Seahawks are 7-5 and hold the first wild card berth, while the Vikings are 6-5-1 and hold the second wild card berth. Both teams benefited on Sunday, with Carolina, Philadelphia, and Washington all losing. They all dropped to 6-7, which means regardless of who wins tonight’s game, Seattle and Minnesota will remain in the two wild card spots. A win would give both a little more breathing room in the playoff chase.

The Seahawks are a field goal favorite over the Vikings, according to sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark. In years past I would have laid the points, but CenturyLink Field is not the homefield it once was. I think Minnesota is going to give Seattle a tough time tonight, so I’ll take the points.
