The Arizona Cardinals are bringing in a bevy of NFL veterans to interview for their coordinator jobs.
As the Arizona Cardinals get ready for a new era in their long history, they are doing so with a firm understanding that if Kliff Kingsbury is going to be successful, he’ll need as much help as he can get.
While the innovative Kingsbury has control of the offense, he’ll lean on Steve Keim to help him get control of the defense.
He is also looking to add veteran NFL offensive minds to his staff that can coexist with his potential college Air Raid scheme hires.
That’s why the first names to drop are so interesting.
According to multiple outlets on Twitter, the Arizona Cardinals have former Giants head coach Ben McAdoo on the books for an interview to work with Kingsbury on offense.
Former Giants coach Ben McAdoo will interview for a spot on Kliff Kingsbury’s staff in Arizona, per source. Kingsbury seemed to indicate Wednesday he was looking for a veteran coordinator. Remember, McAdoo had success as OC w/Giants in 2014-15, guiding 10th + 8th-ranked offenses.

Meanwhile, the first defensive coordinator interview will be former Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph.

This is the type of veteran staff that could be very beneficial to Kingsbury's future success.
If Kingsbury feels a kinship with these coaches, that will be the key to these hires.
Since they are both relatively young and former head coaches, Kingsbury needs to trust that they're there to help the team and the head coach.
Both have been successful in the NFL and could create a good, young nucleus to grow up together.
What do you think of McAdoo and Joseph?
