Kliff Kingsbury’s introductory press conference gave us some insight into the Arizona Cardinals plans.
The Arizona Cardinals introduced new head coach Kliff Kingsbury to the media this afternoon.
While the introductory press conference was short, it gave us an idea of what to expect from the team moving forward.
Keim says Cardinals want a veteran DC. And team will go back to a 3-4 base. Tacit admission going to 4-3 was a mistake.

It is the continued mea culpa of the 2018 season and Steve Wilks hire, but also shows where the Arizona Cardinals are going.
The veteran defensive coordinators that would fit the bill are not as abundant if they were open to a 4-3 or 3-4, but there still are some names.
Dom Capers is one name that has gotten some run within the league. Capers was the defensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers back from 1992-1994, was the head coach of the Carolina Panthers from 1995-1998, the defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 1999-2000, the head coach of the Houston Texans from 2002-2005 and most recently was the defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers from 2009-2017.
Chuck Pagano was the defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens in 2011, then the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts from 2012-2017.
Finally, there is newly fired Vance Joseph. Unless Joseph gets one of the last couple of openings, and it seems like Eric Bienemy in Cincy and Kris Richard in Miami, then Joseph could be an intriguing fit as well. He’s obviously not the veteran of the first two, but he has experience as a defensive coordinator and head coach in the NFL.
Do any of these names intrigue you?
