The New York Jets are reportedly interested in Baylor head coach Matt Rhule to replace recently fired Todd Bowles as the head coach in 2019. ESPN’s Dan Graziano provided this intriguing information on Friday, noting “it’s unclear when or if an interview has been scheduled.” He also connects the dots, noting that the Jets will be in Texas over the weekend to interview Dallas Cowboys assistant Kris Richard for the same position. Rhule is gaining momentum as a highly respected offensive mind, both at the collegiate and NFL levels. His latest accomplishment is that he quickly turned Baylor into a winner so shortly after the program was thrown into disarray due to the ghastly sexual assault scandals that sent Art Briles out the door in disgrace. The Baylor head coach also has some experience at the NFL level, having served as an assistant under Tom Coughlin with the New York Giants back in 2012.
