Who would win in a Buffalo Bills Royal Rumble?

Jerry Hughes? Josh Allen? Who would be the last man standing?

On Sunday night, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is presenting their annual Royal Rumble event. For those of you unfamiliar with a Royal Rumble match, wrestlers enter the ring at timed intervals in a last-man-standing format, eliminated if they exit over the top rope of the ring. This got us to thinking about who would win a Buffalo Bills Royal Rumble. We present you with four options below but would love to hear your thoughts.

Jerry Hughes

At 6’2” and 256 pounds, Hughes could be dominant in this type of match. Among edge defenders he was ranked first in pressure rate getting to the quarterback, proving that he would be capable of pushing anyone over the top rope no matter their size. Jerry also has the elusiveness to avoid someone he would have an unfavorable match up against. Hughes has also told us about his alternate ego Gary, which would be the perfect character in the world of entertainment.

LeSean McCoy

Every Rumble match usually has a “heel” who just hides outside the ring so he can avoid elimination. Having the nickname of Shady makes McCoy the perfect character to assume that role in the match. Essentially he would stay outside the ring giving the suspecting last man standing the “victory” only to sneak in and throw him over the top rope. When in the ring, he may not have the size, but he has the speed to work his way around the ring and eliminate someone if he had to.

Josh Allen

Josh Allen would have one favorable trait in this match: his hands. Those giant mitts would be able to grab anyone and push them over the top rope without any issues. On the flip side, if he was getting tossed over the top rope, those hands could easily grab hold of something to pull himself back into the ring. Allen has plenty of athleticism, as we saw in multiple plays this year, so he would not be someone to look past. The guy is a competitor so he would go all out in coming away with a victory.

Fred Jackson

Lastly, every Royal Rumble has a good amount of surprise entrants ranging from Hall of Famers to people coming off of a serious injury sooner than expected. In a Bills themed Rumble there is only one option for a surprise. The “Infredible Hulk” would come in like a fireball, eliminating all of the young guys in the ring. He would feed off the energy of the crowd and use his strength to push people over the top rope. When he was playing, Fred had a mean stiff arm, so that would be his go-to move to shove people out of the ring.
