As we continue into the Indianapolis Colts positional review as the team heads into a pivotal offseason, we come to the receiving corps today.
The Colts’ WR bunch is one of the most interesting positional groups throughout the roster. They’ve got some young talent like Deon Cain, and Daurice Fountain that they will be hoping to develop, but they also have many questions with some from the rest of the group that need answered before they begin to consider any options from around the league.
Several of those receivers from the 2018 roster like Ryan Grant, Dontrelle Inman, and Chester Rogers are set to be free agents when the league year is set. The Colts have some real needs in terms of filling out their group’s efficiency at the position, but have a mixed bag being offered from the pool of outside free agents.
Which of those who were on the 2018 roster will be re-signed to continue to develop within Frank Reich’s system? Will they find that legit No. 2 WR from the free agent pool, or will they find their needs through the NFL Draft? Matt Danely gives you his outlook on this position group for the offseason.
