Browns wide receiver teams up with former QB Brady Quinn for publicity stunt.
The NFL moved the Super Bowl to a primetime slot several years ago as a way to make it as easy as possible for as many people to watch the game.
It has proven to be a smart play as more than 100 million people have watched the game each year over the past decade.
The downside is that, with the game not kicking off until 6:30 p.m., the various networks feel the need to show hours and hours of pregame coverage, most of it of a dubious nature.
Which leads us to Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry.
CBS Sports HQ decided to team up Landry with former Browns quarterback Brady Quinn in an attempt to set a record for the most “one-handed American football catches in one minute.” (Warning: the audio is really bad at the end.)

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Landry pulled off the feat, especially to anyone who watched Hard Knocks last summer and saw him practicing his one-handed catches.
So, congratulations to Landry and Quinn, but kickoff for the Super Bowl can’t get here soon enough.
