Another mock draft, but the news with it is a little more interesting.
As the cycle of 2019 NFL Mock Drafts ramps up, one thing we have been debating is the merits of who should be taken first.
While some even have discussed Kyler Murray, this site has been pretty strong in their belief it will come down to one of three players: Nick Bosa, Quinnen Williams or Josh Allen.
In fact, that is how I would rank the three as they come out of college now heading into the 2019 NFL Combine.
Tony Pauline, a long time NFL Draft pundit and insider was on an LA based sports podcast and had some interesting insight:

Per Pauline, the Cardinals are likely to cut DT Robert Nkemdiche.

Pauline has Quinnen Williams at one to the Arizona Cardinals, because they’ll need to body to replace likely to be cut Robert Nkemdiche.
This is the first report we’ve heard of the Cardinals being ready to move on from Nkemdiche before his contract ends.
It would be an interesting maneuver to cut a cost controlled player at a position of inherent weakness in order to use the first pick to fill the need. Especially since they need three players up front.
In fact, keeping Nkemdiche would not even preclude them from taking Williams, but cutting him almost certainly makes the Cardinals needs at the position so great they cannot pass on the guy who is the best in the 2019 NFL Draft.
If the Cardinals have Williams as the top player in the draft, then taking him is the right thing to do. However, the circular logic of cutting Nkemdiche and drafting Williams doesn’t exactly add up, since Nkemdiche would just be another depth guy on the roster this season once he is back from the torn ACL.
Cutting Diche would give the Cardinals a little over $1 million more in cap room, but that would likely be lost in replacing him in free agency, whether it be retaining Rodney Gunter or finding a veteran free agent. Keeping Nkemdiche doesn’t exactly fix the position either though and the Cardinals would need to add a free agent or retain Gunter as well.
So, maybe it is worth the $1 million to spend probably $10 million on the position, giving you a net cost of $9 million with the drafting of Williams.
No matter what, this is the first real report we have seen about the Cardinals cutting Robert Nkemdiche...
