As if the linebacker market wasn’t getting thin enough, another one got scooped up today as Preston Brown re-upped with the Bengals on a 3-year deal.

Brown was taken in the third round of the 2014 Draft by Buffalo, but joined the Bengals last season where he had serious injury issues and barely played. Despite that, he was considered the best MLB available due to his potential and ability.
Middle linebacker remains a major point of need for the Raiders, who did not land CJ Mosley or any of the other linebackers on the market as of yet. Some of the best remaining linebackers include Avery Williamson and KJ Wright. We’ll see if the Raiders opt to pursue one of them or choose instead to address this need in the draft, where several top linebacker prospects expect to go in the first round.
