Webb is the first external free agent Cincinnati has signed in this new league year.
Webb’s deal has revealed to be worth up to $13 million over three years, per Ian Rapoport.

The Bengals have signed their first external free agent in cornerback B.W. Webb, per Dianna Russell.

A former fourth-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2013 NFL Draft, Webb has been on a different team in every season he’s played. He missed the 2017 season due to a wrist injury, but he’s bounced around the league as a member of the Cowboys, Steelers, Titans, Saints and Giants.
In his one season in New York, he played under then-defensive backs coach Lou Anarumo, who will be his defensive coordinator in Cincinnati. This connection is likely sparked interest in Webb.
The details on Webb’s contract are unknown, but it will be a one year deal. In all likelihood, this means that Darqueze Dennard isn’t going to re-sign with the Bengals, which was predictable once a deal wasn’t reached by the start of the league year at 4 p.m EST on Wednesday.
Webb is hopefully not the last free agent Cincinnati brings in this week, but he’ll hopefully become a solid player in Anarumo’s system and replace what they’re likely to lose in Dennard.
