GM John Dorsey wanted an offensive weapon for Mayfield, and he got the biggest one possible.
The Browns already have the nucleus for an offensive juggernaut. Now, the Giants have traded their ace WR Odell Beckham, Jr. to Cleveland per Mike Garafolo on NFL Network.
OBJ is in the prime of his career and will certainly take the top off the AFC North’s division thus making the Browns the favorite to win the division.
Here are the trade terms: Giants recieve a first-round pick in 2019 (No. 17 overall), the Browns' second third-round pick this year and S Jabril Peppers, source tells ESPN. Browns get Odell Beckham Jr.

The Giants have said that they would never let OBJ go cheap, and maybe they did. In return, the Giants receive the Browns first-round pick in this year’s draft at number 17, the second third-round selection at number 95, plus SS Jabrill Peppers.
The Giants recently let S Landon Collins walk away without placing the transition tag upon him, so the safety position was front and center for their defense. For the Browns, this most certainly will make their offense one of the most potent in the AFC. WR Jarvis Landry reportedly played a major role in talking up the Browns’ interest to Beckham:
Just got off the phone w/ OBJ. Odell Beckham told me after he & I discussed what I heard about #Browns trade talk that Jarvis Landry called him & said t/ GM & the HC want you bad. Next thing you know, OBJ said Dave Gettleman called him and said "I am trading you to the #Browns."

We also have a Browns-related free agency live blog that just kicked off tonight!
Cleveland gets Beckham for a long time, too -- he is under contract through the 2023 season. This is not a rental; he is here to stay, as long as the Browns want to pay him. What is your reaction to the Browns trading for Beckham?
Hot off the iron! The #Browns have skyrocketed to AFC Championship & Super Bowl contention with the acquisition of Odell Beckham Jr. Now, you can get your John Dorsey-style hoodie, or T-shirt, representing how Cleveland is now the AFC North favorite! https://t.co/VNlhfA9SG0 pic.twitter.com/UisdoAeMe1
