Cleveland claimed Davis off waivers from the Baltimore Ravens prior to the start of the 2018 season. Davis went on to play in five games for the Browns, recording one tackle.
The 27-year-old Davis was a third-round selection in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Ravens. He appeared in 13 games as a rookie, making three starts, and then missed the 2016 season with an ankle injury. Davis made nine starts in 2017 and finished the season with 19 tackles and half of a sack - and then had should surgery in the off-season.
Davis wasn’t the only move the Browns made on the defensive line on Tuesday, as the club has also reportedly agreed to a deal with defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson.
