Contract numbers are in for WR Cole Beasley

The slot receiver’s contract numbers are in.

The Buffalo Bills agreed to terms with former Dallas Cowboys slot receiver Cole Beasley on Tuesday. As the Bills fortify their wide receiver corps, they are investing a nice chunk of change but not handicapping themselves in the future. Let’s get to the final contract details, via ESPN’s Mike Rodak.

The contract begins with two bonuses; one a signing bonus that is pro-rated over the life of the deal followed almost immediately by a roster bonus in a few days for a total of $8.25 million. His guaranteed salary of $2.2 million rounds out the guaranteed money in the contract. He also gets a $200,000 workout bonus and can earn up to $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses in 2019.

After that, there is no more guaranteed money.

The salaries are $4.4 million in 2020, $4.7 million in 2021, and $4.9 million in 2022. He has $500,000 in roster bonuses earned by being on the roster on the 5th day of the league year, $200,000 workout bonuses, and up to $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses each of the final three years, as well.

It’s a deal Buffalo can get out of very easily after year one if they want to, giving them flexibility in the future.
