Mitch Morse is heading to the Bills, according to reports

Morse started at center for the Chiefs the last four seasons.

UPDATE: 9:26 pm. Arrowhead Time

Morse will make $28.375 million over the next two years, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

The first Kansas City Chiefs news of the legal tampering period in NFL free agency is here. Former Chiefs center Mitch Morse is headed to the Buffalo Bills, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.

The Chiefs selected the 26-year-old Morse in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft, and he quickly earned the starting center job as a rookie. Morse started 49 games for the Chiefs over the past four years but was limited in the 2017 season due to a foot injury, and portions of the 2015 and 2018 seasons due to concussions.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports Morse will make more than $11 million per season.

Austin Reiter started four games at center in Morse’s place in 2018, eventually earning a two-year contract extension in early December. Cam Erving, who primarily played left guard for the Chiefs in 2018, received his extension in September.

My expectation is that the center position is now Reiter’s job to lose with Erving possibly in the mix. With right guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif expected back healthy in 2019, how Mack Lee Hill winner Andrew Wylie fits along the line will be another point to watch.
