NFL Franchise Tag deadline has passed: Here are the players who were kept off the market

It’s over. The franchise deadline passed at 1pm Pacific time (4 pm ET). The deals are done and the players whose teams wanted to ensure they didn’t walk away to the highest bidder, slapped them with the franchise tag. Here are the guys who won’t hit the market.

Franchise tags:

ED DeMarcus Lawrence, Cowboys

ED Jadeveon Clowney, Texans

ED Frank Clark, Seahawks

ED Dee Ford, Chiefs

DI Grady Jarrett, Falcons

K Robbie Gould, 49ers

Top new deals:

DE Brandon Graham, Eagles

S Eric Reid, Panthers

OT Donovan Smith, Buccaneers

DI Margus Hunt, Colts

K Josh Lambo, Jaguars

Free agency opens on March 13 with the free agent negotiating period opening next Monday March 11. There will be a few more top players reach deals with their current teams before they hit the open market.

The Raiders have re-signed just one player this offseason — OL Denzelle Good signed a 1-year extension. See all their free agents here.
