The Redskins found their QB
The Redskins have been linked to multiple QBs this offseason, Nd now they have reportedly found their guy for this season. Washington will reportedly send a 6th round pick in 2020 to the Denver Broncos for QB Case Keenum and a 2020 7th round pick. Keenum's contract will get reworked with the Redskins only owing him $3.5 million for this year.
This is a cheap deal for the Redskins which is what they needed following Alex Smith's leg in jury last season. Smith is expected to miss at least this season as he recovers from a broken tibia and fibula, along with multiple surgeries to deal with infections.
The Broncos move on from Keenum after one season. Denver acquired QB Joe Flacco from the Ravens, and it was only a matter of time before Keenum was traded or released. Keenum soent the previous season as The Minnesota Vikings starter, before he was replaced by Kirk Cousins.
The #Broncos and #Redskins have agreed to terms on a trade to send QB Case Keenum to Washington for draft picks and with an adjusted contract, sources say. Broncos get Skins 6th, Washington get a 7th.

Broncos have trade parameters with Washington for QB Case Keenum: Broncos get WAS 6th in 2020, WAS gets Broncos 7th in '20, per source. Keenum's contract reworked. Broncos pay him $500K restructure bonus and pay $3.5 million of his $7M salary. Washington pays $3.5 mi. #9sports

Trading for Keenum doesn't rule out a future deal for Rosen. The opportunity to get Keenum without competing for him in FA came up. They jumped. Rosen still out there. Picks still available to get him. He'd still be cheap.

Can't afford to wait on AZ and be left with nothing.
