Have the Buccaneers found their free agent safety target after all?
As the legal tampering period took off, some big names were snatched up quickly for some big money. Lamarcus Joyner went to the Raiders for 4 years and $42 million with $16.7 million in guarantees. Tyrann Mathieu and the Chiefs came to an agreement on a 3 year deal worth $42 million and Eric Weddle settled on a deal with the Rams to replace Lamarcus Joyner in the secondary for 2 years and $10.5 million. With big names flying off the proverbial shelves, Bruce Arians and company looked to a familiar face to help out the secondary here in Tampa Bay.

Details on the contract have not yet been released but it will be interesting to see the numbers for the former first round pick turned hybrid linebacker/safety this past season. Bucannon has seen some serious trials and tribulations as a player since his best season back in 2015. Either way, Bucannon will be reunited with Arians in Tampa Bay.
