Long live Dave Gettleman!
The New York Giants are really doing it! They’re trading star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a first-round pick (No. 17 overall), a third-round pick, and safety Jabril Peppers.
My official analysis on this deal: Hahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha.
Man, the Giants are so dumb. They’re trading their best player for a package that’s not nearly commensurate for a future Hall of Fame talent.
This news is great for the Eagles, who will no longer have to face Beckham twice a year. In nine career games against Philadelphia, OBJ has 61 receptions for 732 yards and six touchdowns. Now here’s who the Giants have left at receiver: Sterling Shepard, Corey Coleman, Brittan Golden, Quadree Henderson, Jawill Davis, Alonzo Russell. Who?
Letting their best defensive player (Landon Collins) walk in free agency. Trading their best offensive player (Odell Beckham Jr.) for a low return while creating $16 million in dead money. Keeping 38-year-old Eli Manning for another season.
The Giants are clueless and the Eagles’ dominance over them will continue.
Long live Dave Gettleman!!!
Ex #Giants VP of Player Personnel Marc Ross on NFL Network: "I think (Giants) might've missed their opportunity last year with Sam Darnold at No. 2." Ross said he thinks #Giants will go pass rusher at No. 6 and "bank it all in" on Eli Manning for another year.
