Which position are you eager to watch this weekend?
Day 1 of the drills at the 2019 NFL Combine is in the books. Offensive linemen, running backs and special teamers have finished their week at Indianapolis and now wait for Pro Days and scheduled visits with teams before April’s draft.
But things are just getting started at the Combine. There are three more days of drills left, and hundreds of prospects still left to take part in one of the most important days of a prospect’s path to the draft.
Today’s Question of the Day is:
Which remaining position group are you most excited to see test at the NFL Combine?
My answer: Since the NFL is a display of athleticism, it’s always fun to see some of the most athletic players perform down in Indy. Luckily, that also happens to line up with Detroit’s biggest needs. Cornerbacks regularly run extremely fast at the NFL Combine, plus the on-field drills are very telling for that group. Fluidity, change of direction, and footwork are all essential to the position and all very much on display at the NFL Combine.
Additionally, the NFL Combine is extremely important for edge defenders, who are trying to prove their speed, agility and strength to be the NFL’s next dominant pass rusher. That’s also one of the Lions’ biggest needs, so I’ll be keeping a keen eye on that group when they test on Sunday.
Your turn.
