With NFL salary cap increase announcement, how much space will Chargers have?

Free agency kicks off in just a couple weeks and we now know how much room the Los Angeles Chargers will have to work with as the National Football League has announced that the salary cap for 2019 will come in at $188.2 million. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported via Twitter:

That is an $11 million increase which is about on par with what we have been seeing the previous five years. Tom Telesco and the Chargers will, with the benefit of that increase, have $22.5 $23.6 million available as they approach NFL free agency. In addition to that initial money, they can also free up more room by releasing some players with high cap numbers but relatively low dead money.

The Chargers also have some of their own to take care of with the likes of Adrian Phillips and Denzel Perryman soon to be free agents if the front office does not get them to sign new deals.
