The New York Jets have selected cornerback Blessuan Austin, a local guy out of Rutgers University, with the 196th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL draft.
Blessuan Austin ... has been injured alot. He had a fine sophomore season in 2016 with 14 passes defended. He started the first four games of his junior season and then suffered a torn ACL, ending his junior season. He suffered another knee injury in the 2018 opener, ending his senior season. It’s difficult to know what to make of this player, who has barely seen the field since 2016.

The Jets now have no remaining picks in the 2019 NFL draft. Barring a trade, the Jets 2019 draft is finished and the team moves on to the task of signing priority undrafted free agents as soon as the draft is over.
