With the 196th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL draft, the New York Jets selected Blessuan Austin, a 6’ 1”, 200 pound cornerback out of Rutgers University. Austin has barely played the last two years, with two separate knee injuries cutting short his 2017 and 2018 campaigns. He played only 5 games in the last two years combined and ran a 4.65 40 yard dash at his Pro Day. If you have a good reason why the Jets chose this player here, you are a better man than I.
